How long have you been practicing?

over 16 years as a PA, have done hospital medicine for 7 years and holistic care for another 7 and the last 2 years practicing aesthetic medicine

Why do you do what you do? What is your passion/motivation?

I have always loved working with people and helping them feel better. Whether it's with my advice on supplements, or injections for pain relief, I truly want the best for my patients. This is why I am so happy that I transitioned into aesthetics. I can make people look good and feel good!

How would you describe your specialty?

I consider myself an integrative provider since I was trained both conventionally and holistically; I do believe there is a time and place for medications but do treat with natural agents first. I have a similar approach to aesthetics - I like to treat holistically and reach for more natural and regenerative procedures before other temporary treatments. I offer both wellness and aesthetics in my practice and guide each patient on their journey to a healthy life with treatments that address both their health and appearance.

Where did you begin?

I started out in NYC treating acute care patients - cardiovascular episodes, breathing difficulties, acute kidney failure and severe illnesses. I learned a lot from my years in this type of setting but realized that although we were stabilizing patients, we were not treating them with conventional medicine. I moved to Phoenix in 2015 and did a 180 degree shift and worked in a chiropractic setting where we allowed the body to heal naturally. I learned about things like inflammation, how the body heals, supplements, nutrition and the importance of proper movement and exercise. My main focus was performing trigger point injections with natural anti-inflammatories and that is where I got very comfortable with needles and then decided to dive into aesthetics. I guess I really like poking people with needles!

What training/certifications/education/experience do you bring to your practice?

I am a certified Physician Assistant and have certifications in functional blood work analysis, botox, fillers, weight loss, trigger point injections, PDO threads and PRP.

Who is your typical client/patient?

Someone who is interested in whole body care and understands the connection between healthy skin and healthy body. Also someone who is well educated and is already doing things to better themselves.

Where are you located?

Paradise Valley, Arizona

What is your contact/social media info?

What one piece of advice would you give my readers?

There truly are caring providers out there that put your interests first! Katie is one of them! I always tell my patients, that I am on their team! If you are not happy with your provider, don't settle for less!

What are your hobbies?

Besides for taking care of my 6 children, laundry, cooking and shopping? I'll need to get back to you on this one :)
